Description:
Bariloche is a city in the Argentine Province of Rio Negro. It is one of South America’s most important winter tourist destinations. Located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, it sits at the base of the Andes Mountains on the South side of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Its natural wonders include forests, lakes and mountains. Its architecture, with many log cabins, and excellent skiing are also top attractions. The tour of the 7 Lakes Region, between Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes is an incredible ride. Though most of the dirt roads connecting the towns and villages on this route are being paved, there are still long stretches on this sightseeing tour (for example on the narrow dirt road to Villa Traful which runs thru a long forest), where one feels a genuine return to nature. This destination is ideal in summer or in winter.
